In my experience working as a registered dietitian helping people improve their stomach issues, I find that a lot of people are not educated on how to get to the root problem.
And because of this, the symptoms won’t go away! Addressing the symptoms is what is called a band-aid approach. The solution will always be to get to the root problem.
Here are a few tips that can help you stop the bloating:
1) Identify triggers: A food journal is always a good place to start. It helps avoid the guesswork and allows you to collect data.
2) Issue with fiber intake: This tends to be a big problem for most people. The solution is to first log and identify how much fiber you’re eating and then increase it to reach your daily goal. Using applications like NutritionIX can help! And it’s free!
3) If you identify you’re issue is a low-fiber diet, consider adding a fiber supplement.
4) Take the RIGHT probiotic(s). This may mean taking more than one. Also, consider if they “get along” as some good microbes simply don’t and you’ll want to avoid taking them together!
Follow these steps correctly and watch the magic happen! Looking for more support to stop the bloating and stomach pain?
